This and That With a Grin

Bathroom Remodel

We are finally over the hill with only a few set backs on the bathroom. After the tub and walls were demolished and carried out piece by piece, it was time to replace the old plumbing. A nasty stinky job, but all went smoothly so I heard, meaning a minimal amount of curse words. I spared you looking at the pipe pictures. You’re welcome.

Can’t wait for the tile to go down and the reassemble to begin. Trying to think of paint color now. The floor and shower tile are a light beige, Tuscany design, so I’m thinking maybe a darker color for the walls. Any ideas?

Opening the Cottage

Last weekend the weather was about as good as it gets here in Michigan on these early spring days. Seventies and Sunny! We opened and cleaned the cottage and uncovered the deck furniture. I’m so grateful it all went smoothly and there were no broken pipes, the furnace worked, and the new dock was above water this year.

The only problem I encountered was –  all the fish were spawning and even when tapped on the head (repeatedly) with the worm, they would not bite. Well they should be darn hungry by next weekend. I am patient.  My filet knife will be sharp and ready.

Cottage Jokes for a grin!

What do you call a fish without an eye?

What is Irish and left out on the lawn all summer? (hint: my Irish family and friends, the answer is not beer bottles)

Enjoy the weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all.
