Winter Blahs, Looking on the Bright Side!

Have you ever wondered what’s good about winter and the cold in Michigan? By now, and it’s only January 15th, you may be screaming . . . NOTHING! I know I have, more than once. However, continuing my goal of staying more positive, even through the SAD season, (seasonal affective disorder). I’ve made a list of nine good things to keep in mind over whats left of our winter. Repeat after me…Spring will be here before we know it!

1 The cold temperatures kill off harmful germs and bacteria (Yay!)

2 Skiing, skating, sledding, snowmobiling (Not that I do any of these, but am happy for those that do.)

3 Snow days (Even adult snow days are special, after you are done shoveling – that is!)

4 The ecosystem benefits (Whoo-hoo, thinking fishing is gonna be great in the spring.)

5 Hot chocolate, books, and fires to read them by (Oh yea, this is me!)

6 Scenic masterpieces (I love these! Frozen light houses, water falls and the swans swimming between the ice floes.)

7 Ice sculpture displays (What bravery and talent by the people who bring a block of ice to life. Thank you!)

8 Tremendous clearance shopping (Takes more than cold to keep me away.)

9 Snow angels (One crashed into my bedroom window during our last snow storm, oops!)

Too cute-not to share!

(according to this Kelly Blue Book article) They are listed below!

10 Toyota Sienna

9 Chevrolet Tahoe

8 Ford Fusion

7 Subaru XV Crosstrek

6 Nissan Pathfinder

5 Ferrari FF

4 Subaru Outback

3 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2 Land Rover Range Rover

1 Audi Allroad

The one thing these vehicles all have in common; they are, all wheel drive vehicles. (AWD) If one tire slips the other three can carry on. It makes sense to me.

Thanks for reading my blog today.

Wrap your hands around a steamy beverage, stay warm, happy, and healthy my friends!

Did you ever wonder why you never see old people laying in the snow making snow angels? Probably it’s cause if they got down, they’d never get up. So if you see an old person laying in the snow, they are probably dead!!
